Emma Harewood RD
Director of Integration, NHS Surrey Heath Clinical Commissioning Group
Emma is a paediatric dietitian by background, and after seven years managing dietetic teams in Bucks and Surrey, and providing professional leadership, she moved into Executive roles in a community services provider. The community provider was Central Surrey Health, the first co-owned, not-for-profit social enterprise in the NHS. This provided an opportunity to develop leadership skills and change management in an unusually innovative and business like part of the NHS for its time.
Always an advocate for dietetics in her executive roles, Emma wanted to grow her portfolio to broaden her influence. After setting up Harewood Consultancy in 2012, Emma has worked with executive teams in providers and Clinical Commissioning Groups across the UK. Her recent roles for two CCGs in Surrey have resulted in investment in dietetics. Emma’s ambition is to see dietetics an integral part of community integrated care teams as they develop across the country.
