Catherine qualified as a dietitian in 1998. She joined the Focus on Undernutrition team in 2008 and supported the development and delivery of training to implement nutritional screening and monitoring, first line dietary advice and appropriate prescriptions of oral nutritional supplements for health and social care staff. More recently she has been involved in developing a digital health service to support health professionals in monitoring patients prescribed oral nutritional supplements.

Health Call Undernutrition: Helping nutrition and dietetic services meet the changing needs of the NHS.
The cost of undernutrition to both individuals and the health economy is well documented. The benefits of identifying and treating undernutrition are undisputed. Undernutrition affects our most vulnerable patients but we are currently unable to offer a service that meets all of their needs. This presentation explores how digital health can help meet these demands whilst facing the challenges of providing high quality care to an increasingly elderly population with more chronic health problems.
