Public Health Strategist, Children and Young People Team at Bristol Education Centre
Alison trained as a nurse in 1978 and then completed her midwifery in Nottingham. She worked as a midwife for a few years and then completed her Health Visiting at the Southbank. Since then she has worked as a Health Visitor in Harrow and Hertfordshire and as a safeguarding lead. She is currently working as a public health strategist in the children and young people team across Camden and Islington. She is involved in the HV transformation programme and transfer of health visiting into the local authority next October.
She has worked with various external bodies and has been a member of the Feeding for Life group until late last year. She writes regularly for professional nursing journals.
Jessica is presenting as part of the Healthcare Professional Panel in the afternoon Plenary on Day 2.
